LONDON, July 20 (IranMania) - Over
5.2 million dlrs worth of commodities has been exported from North Khorasan
Customs Office in the first quarter of current Iranian calendar year (starting
on March 20), IRNA reported.
The Head of North Khorasan Customs
Office said that over 13,000 tons of commodities were exported to Afghanistan,
Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan during the same period.
Javad Jafari added that major export items
included aluminum, plastic wares and tea.
LONDON, July 20 (IranMania) - Tehran
International Flora and Plants Exhibition will play a key role in removing the
problems facing the export of flowers and plants, IRNA reported.
Announcing this, managing director
of Parks and Green Spaces Organization affiliated to Tehran Municipality noted
that some 600 units are active in producing flowers and plants nationwide.
"The operations for
establishment of the first Tehran International Flora and Plant Exhibition is
currently underway in Goftego (Dialogue) Park," Ali Mohamamd Mokhtari
said.
He noted that the exhibition will be
held in late July.
Mokhtari noted that ten countries
have voiced their readiness to showcase their products in the exhibition
covering 15,000 square meters of land.
"The exhibition is a best venue for showcasing
the capability of the Islamic Republic in the field of producing flora and
plants," he said.

Addressing a ceremony commemorating
the demise anniversary of Hazrat-e Zeinab (SA), in Damascus, Ahmad Mousavi
called on Islamic communities to take Hazrat-e Zeinab's life as a model for
their lifestyle and fight against cultural onslaught against Muslims.
Mousavi slammed the international
community for its silence on the US and Israeli crimes in Gaza Strip, Iraq and
other parts of the globe.
Thousands of people from Iran, Syria, Bahrain
and a number of Islamic countries participated in the ceremony.
LONDON, July 20 (IranMania) -
Sarmayeh Bank Iran (SBI) will establish branches in some foreign countries,
managing director of SBI said, IRNA reported.
Bahauddin Hosseini Hashemi stated
that the branches will be established in the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates
and Tajikistan in the near future.
Noting that some 51% of the bank's shares belong
to SBI, he said that bank's managing director is appointed by the SBI.

Iran's 26th International Fajr Film Festival is slated to screen documentaries
from 17 countries in its Special Screenings section, PressTV reported.
Some 25 documentaries have been
selected for this section, most of which are from France, Canada and the US.
Scotland, Mexico, Palestine, Italy,
Germany, Netherlands, Australia, Afghanistan, Norway, Denmark and Brazil are
among the other participants in this year's event.
Michael Moore's Sicko, Sidney
Pollack's Sketches of Frank Gehry will also be screened at the festival.
The 26th edition of the International Fajr Film
Festival will run from Feb. 1st to 11th, 2008.
