LONDON, January 16 (IranMania) - Iran's Ali Baqeri has said Spain's Civilizations Forum provided a proper opportunity for finding solutions to major global conflicts, PressTV reported.

Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs Baqeri elaborated on Iran's position during a meeting with Director General of Foreign Policy of Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rafael Dezcallar on Tuesday.

He stressed the importance of religious and cultural tolerance without political interference as well as open and transparent international communication.

Madrid played host to over 350 political, scientific and religious figures from 100 countries at the First International Alliance of Civilizations Forum Tuesday.

Baqeri arrived in Madrid at the head of a delegation on Monday.
